This decline is attributed to automatic attack disruption. Notably, over 90% of the attacks that did progress to the ransom stage originated from unmanaged devices, highlighting the need for organizations to manage all network-connected devices effectively.
Techscam traffic has surged significantly since 2021, outpacing both malware and phishing activities. The report notes that most techscams stem from malicious ad platforms, targeting users through fake support services and fraudulent schemes. To combat this, organizations are encouraged to implement blocklists for known malicious domains and utilize AI detection models to enhance threat identification.
